Madison turns 2!

Madison, boy where has the time gone. I just remember you in my tummy, delivery day, your first birthday and now you are 2 years old. You are an amazing, beautiful little girl. You have been really the best baby and now toddler that I could ever ask for. You have made me mad, sad and stressed but every time I look at you and your smile I love you even more. I love you and Happy 2nd birthday.

On July 10th we threw Madison a Dora themed birthday party. We hired a taco truck for the food, had a dora pinata and Danny's sister made 120 cupcakes into a dora cake. We were expecting approximately 80-90 people; however, only approximately 50 people showed up. Needless to say we had a lot of food left over. I rented a water slide and a dora/diego bounce house for the kids. I believe that everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food.

Madison is getting to that point where preschool is a must. There are things she needs to learn and things that I can not teach her which the preschool can help a lot. We plan on starting her into preschool the end of July. I am scared and I am sure she will be too in the beginning. We both have to adjust to the new change into our lives especially before Marcus arrives too. So many changes will be taking place in the next 2 months and so we have to do one adjustment at a time.
The new things with Madison are: talking, tanturms and trying to be little miss independent. It is nice to be able to ask her a question and she can tell me what is wrong or what she wants. There is always something new everyday and I am thankful to be able to see her everyday and be able to experenice everything with her.

Madison's First Camping Trip

I know, I know it has been a very long time since I have written in my blog. I really need to do this once a month. I will start writing in my blog once a month!

So, we purchased a trailer. It sleeps 8 people and it is just what we needed to start getting out of Bakersfield and start exploring and taking trips as a family. So, two weekends ago we decided to do a beach trip. It was going to be Madison's first camping and beach trip. We were so excited to finally have her at the beach and most of all go camping in our new trailer.

We left on a Friday afternoon about 12 and arrived at the RV park about 3pm. We just parked the trailer and put our bathing suits on and took Madison to the beach since she was getting a little cranky. She was scared at first, but once I got into the water she decided it was okay to try and get next to the water. Well, the girl loved it! She was running towards the water and then running away from the water. We stayed at the beach for maybe an hour and then headed over to the RV park pool. The girl loves water and so she, of course, enjoyed the pool. We finally got back to the trailer made some hot dogs and then watched some movies. She did not go to bed until 10 pm.
The next day Saturday, the girl woke up at 5:50 am, yes, 5:50 am...We were like what the hell! So, we had her stay in our bed for like an hour watching "Little Bear" as we were slowly waking up ourselves. We made breakfast and got ready for the beach. We decided to first walk to downtown Pismo before since it was too early for the beach. We walked on the pier and looked through the windows of the stores since none of the stores were open at 9 am. We finally went back to the trailer, got all the stuff for the beach and headed to a spot for the day. Madison decided to take a nap (20 mins ) in the car on our way over there. We spent from 10 am- 2pm at the beach. She made sandcastles with Danny and Madison and I walked along the beach for a while. It was hard to get her away from the beach but it was long enough in the sun for her. From there we went back to the trailer thinking she would nap again, WRONG!!!
She was wide awake; so, to the pool we went. Her and I went in the pool for a while then it was her and Danny's turn. By, 530ish we had to get back and cook dinner. We thought, okay maybe she will knock out early because of her short nap, WRONG!!! The girl did not go to bed until 830. After, waking up at 5:50am, having a 20 min nap and then playing at the beach and the pool she didn't go to sleep until 8:30. It was a long day for Danny and I that we went to bed too.
We woke up Sunday and then headed home about 9 am. It was a nice trip!!

Madison is growing up so fast. She is going to be 2 next month. She is talking more and having more of an attitude. Everything is "it's mine", "no mama", and so the terrible "2's" are coming out already. She has her good and bad days just like all of us.

Still, the girl hardly naps and when I don't want her to nap she does and when I want her to nap (because I have to work that night) she doesn't. I have given up on me napping before work.

We have started looking at preschools for her because we feel it is time for her to go to school and play with other kids and learn. I know she will love school and enjoy herself. I go looking at another school this week.

Right now, I am planning her 2 nd birthday party which is a Dora Explorer themed party.

Danny and I are good and just working. This pregnancy is the hardest on me right now. I am always tired, already gained almost 30 lbs and already retaining a lot of water (edema). I am still working out and having a toddler keeps me activity. I look forward to nap time, bed time and resting when I can. Danny helps me when he is home which is great. I am due Sept 15th and cant wait to see Marcus Daniel for the first time!

18/19 months old

Time is flying by way too fast. My baby girl is already going to be 19 months old!

Her 18 months check up went well. She is doing everything she is supposed to be doing which is great to hear. She is talking more and of course favorite word is "no". She says words like, applesauce, apple, papa, B (for toby), she is trying to say her colors and favorite # is 9 etc. She is obsessed with washing her hands especially after the gym she says "wash". Also, when brushing my teeth she says "brush", so then we brush our teeth together (or at least me first and then her). She is starting to do flips on the ground, she already knows how to jump off the ground and loves to dance. She is a very, very busy girl.

The eating food with her is great and she starting to try more things. I think it would be a lot easier if Danny didn't work late on Tues and Thurs because then I would cook more. It makes no sense to make a meal with just her and I because I know it will go to waste. So, cooking is only Mon, Wed and Fridays.

She is going to be 19 months coming the 9th and I can not believe that time is flying by so fast. Just think we are already in February :(..Soon she will be 2 years old. :(

Happy New Years'!

Well, well it is 2010 already, can you believe it? Well, I can not. There are so many things to be thankful for, but I am more excited to start a new year with new beginnings.

We had a great Christmas! Madison did get the concept of opening gifts; however, it did take a long time opening all her gifts. Thank you to everyone who thought of Madison and gave her a gift for Christmas.

I figured it was the beginning of a new year, so I might as well give in and get her haircut. So, when the three of us went to the mall we also got her haircut. Nothing to drastic, but just a little trim and some layers.

She is getting so big now and learning from what other people are doing. She is copying my every move and trying to talk to me as well. Now, is the time to watch what we say and do around her. She loves to dance and listen to music, read and watch her favorite Nick Jr shows: Yo Gabba, Gabba, Dora, Diego etc. Food is getting better. She eats cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, pizza, ques., fries, spaghetti o's stuff that is easy for her to chew and get use to chewing. I figure it is a work in progress and to keep going forward and letting her try new things everyday. She will try and take bites of what Danny and I eat, but that never last through a whole meal and then we have to feed her her own "people"food. She only gets 2 bottles of milk a day: one a nap and then other a night time. Throughout the day she has 1/2 water 1/2 juice. Now, the next step is to work on potty training. I already got pull-ups to get started and now all I need is a potty chair.....
So many new things everyday with her~

I wish all my family and friends a joy/blessful New Year.
