Talking....

So, Madison is slowly starting to talk more especially when it comes to her cartoons and identifying who they are. For example, Yo Gabba Gabba she totally opens her arms and says "baba, baba" like the guy; also, she is in love with Dora Dora and of course can say "dora, dora". There are other cartoon's that she watches and tries to say who they are, but not quite there yet. The girl is really starting to use her mouth and I all the time am talking to her and identifying what things are and what we are doing to help in her development.

She is very picky on food and slowly starting to eat more and more people food everyday, but still is a struggle everyday. I have told myself that come Jan 1st she will have no more bottle and 3rd stage baby food out the door. She is eating toddler foods, but I have to blend it because she always gags on the food and then throws-up. Also, she will be having to start feeding herself more to get use to her feeding herself and not use. In Jan she will be 18mo, so I figure it will be a good time to do all this then.

About 1 week go, she was sick and we ended up taking her to the ER because her temp was up too 102. The temp had been low about 99 to 100's and then at night it went up higher even with us giving Tylenol all day. She also had a "barking" cough which I knew was croup and with that the temps and not holding any food except her bottle we took her in. They of course said she has croup and gave some anti-nausea medication and told us to follow up with her doctor. She had to sleep with us for two days only because with the croup you can develop stridor, difficulty breathing, and this way we could watch her closely. She is doing a lot better, but still has a runny nose. On Tuesday of last week, we saw her doctor and they just gave her an inhaler for the wheezing and some pedlisone for the bronchi spasms from the croup. I myself, got sick from her and had no voice for 3 days. I never really got sick, sick just under the weather and am feeling fine now.

Danny, Emerson, Hector (Danny's little brother), my brother (David) and Emerson's co-worker all went to Vegas last weekend! They had a lot of fun, of course, did not come home with money! Danny is finally done with his online Math class and passed with a high B! Now, he is starting to look at Online Programs to hopefully get started in late Jan or early Feb on his degree.

Where to Start

I know, I know, I know..I am so behind on writing in my blog. I just got done reading my cousin Marisa's blog and she has inspired me to write in my blog and keep it up. I will try not to write a really long blog, but there is so much to tell.

First, Madison is 16 months already and she is her own individual person. She can say..hi,bye,stay, toby (at least she tries), mas (more), mama,da and pizza I think that is about it. She is very hard to feed believe it or not. I still have to blend some of her foods because it is too chucky and she gags on it. I hate it when she gags, throws-up and then have to wait a while before feeding her again since she threw-up all her food. Also, she is not a fan of people food. She will at times what to take bits of what we eat and we let her, but to have her sit down and eat people food would not fly. I did decide to start changing somethings and start with breakfast people food and then work my way to dinner. When she turns 18 months in Jan I will be taking away all her 3rd stage baby food. Baby food is expensive, but she needs to learn to eat more variety of people foods and get use to chewing. If any hints or advice I would love to hear them.

She is a mover and is everywhere around the house;for example, through doggy doors, up on the couch and chairs, dancing, running and walking.

I am so glad that I am home with her during the week because I am able to teach her colors, numbers and names. The girl is smart and already follows commands. She is my little helper!
Having a toddler is a new experience and like my cousin Marisa says "more exciting things to come when they are toddlers" and that is so true! Everyday there is something new and exciting. I love this age because she is so funny.

Work is okay and I hope to move to a new department next year if the manager will work with my schedule. As you all know I have totally dropped Stroller Strides and have been working out with other mom's that have dropped as well and going to the gym. Every month we make it a point to have a mom's and kids play group to catch up with other mom's that you don't see on a regular basis which is great.

Danny is busy with work and doing 12 hour shifts! He is tired, but are hanging in there.

I will continue to write once a week to inform all my friends and family about Madison and her development! So excited for more blogging

You Are Fired!

Well, I know that all of you are wondering "What you got fired?" and the answer is Yes! Let me first say Stroller Strides sucks as a corporation. They allow a co-owner of Stroller Strides to write bad checks, bounce checks, cancel classes and most of all be unprofessional. So, last week I wrote a letter to the lady who bought Stroller Strides in Bakersfield, Christine Royer, about cancelling my classes, non-payment of my check and her unprofessionalism. I explained that if I did not heard from her by the 15th I will contact corporate and complain. So, in return she terminated me as an instructor from Stroller Strides. First, it is a free country to express my concerns and feels without the fear of termination;however, in the end she did not like what I had to say about her and her running this business so she let me go! That Sucks! So, then I wrote back and stated that I wanted the month of July and my final check for August on the 15th by noon and guess what no check (of course). So, Tuesday I wrote a letter to corporate explaining that I was turning not only her in to the labor board, but Stroller Strides Inc for illegal withholding my funds. Then, Wednesday I finally received my paycheck, thank god. I feel stress free of this horrible corporation and in the end after going to get trained I have made back some of the money, but have lost $200.00 from the whole thing. I am so pissed about the whole thing, but you know there is a reason for everything. Poor Marelle is still suck with Stroller Strides and she says she will be leaving in Sept.

Now, on to a better note. Madison is a busy, busy little girl. She is everywhere and in everything. She of course has more teeth coming in on the bottom (oh the joys of no sleeping). Can you pass the Tylenol please! She loves for me to read her books, chase her around the house, listen to music and the girl loves shoes (especially wearing them). I now have her on a schedule where she takes a nape between 11-12 and wakes up between 130-2. Her lunch is about 230 and dinner is 830. Expect Danny like to mess around on the weekends and kind-of take her off the schedule which I hate, but oh well. She is starting to do the tantrum thing, but when she does I just walk away and let her be. She is doing great! Maybe now she is ready for a playmate.......

Danny and I just had our 2nd anniversary on the 18th. So, we have been together for 6 years and married for 2 years. We still have our ups and downs just like any couple, but it has been a great two years. I love ya Papa.

Danny starts school next week which will only be Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11. Hooray, no more night classes. This time he has an online class and a class he has to attend on that Tuesday and Thursday. At the end of this year he will have an AA in Liberal Studies and hopefully start Business Administration in Health care in Jan. 2010.

Work is going good and the night shift has not been bad at all. I was think about actually next month picking up an extra shift on Wednesday to see how much difference it will be if I did not pick up an extra shift and to see if it is worth working.

Everything is great in the Gonzalez House!

Girls Week

Last Sunday July 5th Danny and I got to take all 5 niece's to Bakersfield to spend some time with us, each other and especially for them to spend some time with Madison.

Sunday, we just relaxed when we got home about 1130 am. We treated them to Starbucks in the morning. Then, that night I invited my friend from Stroller Strides, Marelle, her kids, and my mom and dad for a BBQ dinner that Danny prepared. That night it took them a little bit longer to go to bed since it was their first night together, but they finally did around 11:30 pm. Then, at 3 am Jayden and Karla came into my room and said that Riley saw a guy at the window. While this was happening (which there was no one at the window) Madison woke up. So Danny gets up to feed Mady, at the same time, the girls wanted me to stay with them and sleep in the room with them. At about 530 I woke up and went into bed with Danny.

Monday, we all went to Murray's Farm. It is a place that has a hay ride, petting farm and you get to pick some of their fruit to take home. I made some lunches and we had a picnic at the place. Marelle and her family came with us which was great. We got there around 10 and left the place about 1pm. In the afternoon, we took the girls to the RV park so they could go swimming in the pool. This was Madison's first time going into the pool. She really seem to like the water. The girls wanted to hold her, but Danny and I say noooooooot right now, later. That night I cooked spag and meatballs which the kids enjoyed. And they got to go to blockbuster to pick a movie for movie night. It took Danny and the girls about 30 minutes because the girls couldnt decide on two. Danny and I made popcorn and gave them a treat with the popcorn.

Tuesday, we took them swimming again at the RV park all day. My parents bought all of us pizza for a pizza party at the RV park which the girls enjoyed. I think they enjoyed the swimming the most. Madison got in again, and loved it so much. She kept trying to push Danny and I out of the way for her to be by herself, but that was not happening. She is so cute in the pool. That afternoon, I took the girls to the $1 movie theatre and saw "Alien vs Monster". Again, another movie night with some popcorn for the girls.

Wednesday, Marelle treated all of us to Dewar's ice cream which was great. The girls loved sitting at the high table tops by all the ice cream.

Tuesday and Wednesday I had to teach Stoller Strides and so Bryauna, Jayden and Karla came with me to teach class. Bryauna seemed to really like pushing Mady and working out with us. Jayden, she kept saying "when are we leaving and I'm hungry" and Karla was way behind all the time and saying "my legs hurt from walking".

Thursday, Danny was brave enough and had all the girls that day since I had to go to work to renew my CPR. So, he took the girls to a place called The Wild. They have 3 bounce houses, toys to play with etc. It is small enough that Danny can play with Mady while still watching the girls play. That day they were going home so they all had to pack their stuff and Danny made them help him pick up the house before I got home (that was very nice of all of them to do that). When I got home about 230pm I made them all a late lunch, we sang "happy birthday" to Mady and the girls played Guitar Hero one last time. Danny drove the girls to Valencia were their moms were waiting to pick them all up.

We had a great time and were thrilled to be able to have them all with us especially on Madison's birthday. The girls really loved spending time with Madison and us. They loved it so much they wanted to stay thru Sunday (that was not going to happen).

Happy 1st Birthday Madison

I just want to give a shout out to my daughter Madison and wish her a Happy Birthday. I know she does not know it is her birthday, but we know and are so sad she is already 1! Time has gone by so fast and I cannot believe she is already 1.

She is so interested in so many things and uses her index finger to point at things. I really do not know what she is pointing at, but I just say what I think she is looking at. She is getting better at walking, sitting down after walking and moving from a sitting position to crawling. Also, she is pretty good at walking and leaning over to pick up a toy, empty water bottle etc.

She is already one and has 6 teeth! I thought kids her age only have like the top two or bottoms, but I guess she is not like any other 1 year old. We are having her try new things all the time especially what we are eating. She finally had ice cream the other day and really liked it, but of course she only had a very little bit and had a fit because she wanted more. Yes, little miss girl as her fits already and throws her arms, legs and screams when she does not get her way. However, once she understands what "no" really means and punishments those fits and tantrums will stop!

I will write more about our week with my niece's tomorrow.

Happy 1st birthday Madison. Daddy and I love you!

Thank You Uncle Mike

I have been meaning to write this for a long time and the other day my mom and I were talking on the phone and again we were talking about my Uncle Mike and how we are lucky to have him as apart of our family.

My Uncle Mike is the best and he does everything for anybody and will go out of his way to help a person in need at a drop of a hat. He has done a lot and I mean a lot for our family and I know his friends as well. So, I just want you, Uncle Mike, to know that I am very grateful for everything you do for my family. Thank you for making Madison's birthday sign and designing her piggy bank. You do a lot for this family and I want you to know how grateful I am for everything you do. You seem to be the back bone of this family and you take on a lot of responsibility to help our family. I thank you and love you so very much. I am the luckiest niece to have you as my Uncle. Again, Thank you for all that you do and someday I hope that I can return the favor to you and help you out when you and Aunt Trini are in need of anything (which will probably never happen), but I will want to be there to return the favor for all that you have done.
I love and Thank you Uncle Mike

Madison's First Cold

So, lately Madison has been throwing up her food at night time which I wrote in the previous blog. And, last night she threw-up again in the middle of the night at about 2 am when she woke up. Danny and I had a rough night with Mady last night. She just could not sleep. We would get her to sleep then 30 min later she would wake up crying and tossing and turning in her crib. Finally I told Danny "lets give her some Tylenol in the nipple of the bottle". At about 4 am she finally went to sleep, but in our bed. We made a letter "H" in our bed and of course Mady in the middle. I did not dare to pick her up and put her in the crib since we finally all got to sleep.

She woke up with a runny nose and tossing around in our bed which she looked to be not feeling good. I had to go teaching in the morning so she stayed home with daddy. Danny called and we were able to get into see the Dr about 1030 am. The Dr said she had a runny nose and did not seem to be congested. She said to maybe feed her a little earlier and maybe the "throw-up" is because of all the congestion in her nose. And to just watch her and if she got worst to bring her in. Madison is not her happy self and has been very, very fussy. She is so, so tired that she has a hard time falling asleep. With her sneezing, runny nose and not feeling good we are tired, but are thankful she is not really sick and both of us are home.

The Party was a Hit!

So, Madison's 1st birthday party turned out very well. Danny and I got a lot of compliments on the house and the party which was great to hear.

We had a total of 50 adults and 40 kids on our list, but only 40 adults showed up and I do not know the counts for the kids. I had hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and macaroni salad and beans for the adults. The kids, I made chicken nuggets and mac& cheese. I rented the jumper and the water slide for the kids. The water slide was a blast for the kids. The jumper i could have gone without, but there are those few kids that did go into the bounce house.
We had a great time and it sounded like people were enjoying themselves. Danny will have to post some pictures this week so everyone can see all the fun pictures.

Madison is growing up so fast and I got choked up when we were singing "Happy Birthday". I can not believe that in less than a month she will be a year old. She is walking, crawling, trying to talk and is a very smart girl. She is eating tons, but for some reason she has been throwing up more than usual (2-3 times this week).

Now, all I have next on my list of things to do while I am off of work is Aimee's wedding. I have to get my dress length trimmed before the end of this week. Also, the bachlorette party this weekend in Vegas. Then, the wedding July 3rd.

Then after the wedding, I get all the niece's for a week starting July 5th. I thought this would be great for Mady to spend some time with her nieces and for them to spend time with each other. I hope that I do not run out of things to do for the girls. And, on top of all of this activities I am still teaching Stroller Strides 3-4 days a week. I figure all the money I get from Stroller class will go to Mady's fund. I am doing this not only for her to make friends, but me as well. And, this is a great way to put some money away for her. Then, when I have 2,3 and 4 kids I will have to divide the money. Yes, I would like to have 4 kids ( i know everyone tells me I am crazy).

Lakers are playing the final game. Danny has his shirt on with Mady in her Laker's dress in the crib. Boy, they are true Laker fans.

Busy, Busy, Busy.....

So, Danny and I are finally off of work. I have 6 weeks off and Danny has almost 7 weeks off. I return July 10 on nights and Danny returns July 17th I believe.

We have been so busy since we have been off of work. Since we are finally home owners, Danny is the new handyman around the house. And I go shopping, get nails done and play with Mady while I am off of work. We had bought a new dining room table, but did not work out here so my parents took it up to Arizona. It worked out great because it fit their house just right. Then, Danny and I went shopping for a new dining room table which we have purchased and already received.

Thursday, I went to a mom's party. A girl from Stroller Strides was hosting a party and so I wanted to show my support and went for like an 1 1/2. Friday night, was mom's night out with Stroller Strides plus Marelle's (a mom from class) birthday. We went out to dinner at BJ's which I love and there were like 10 mom's it was great and we had a good time.

Saturday, we finally had our windows replaced and they look great. This is the first house purchase from us and it was well worth it. Then, Sunday I had Aimee's last bridal shower with Tony's (her soon to be husband) side of the family. While, I was away Danny watched Mady and put up the blinds throughout the house.

While all of this is going on throughout the week, I am also teaching Stroller Strides 3-4 days a week. I love it and I hope to build more clients on my side where I teach.

Danny is enjoying being the handyman around the house and especially since it is our house. We also have put ceiling fans outside on the patio, painted the fireplace and slowly cleaning out the garage.

My parents have finally moved and I hope they are enjoying their new home, but they will return this week for Mady's party.

Happy Birthday to Mady as she is turning 11 months tomorrow.

ER Visit

So, yesterday night Madison and I were in her room learning to walk again. She was playing with one of her play/walker sets and decided she was done and wanted to walk towards some. I help her her turn around to face me before walking towards me; however, she wanted to stand for a minute like she normally does and I let her do so. Then, it happened so fast she got a little unsteady and started to fall back and her hand slipped out of my hand as I went to grab her and she fell on her butt then straight on her head. She cried right away (which is a good thing) and I grabbed her up so fast and was holding her and rocking her. Danny came running in the room asking what had happened. I told him and I said we needed to call the doctor. As a RN I know what can happened even if it is the littlest thing. So, we called and spoken to an RN who went through a series of questions and said since she is less than 12 months we needed to take her to the hospital. So, I then called my work and said I would be coming to the ER with my daughter and they said she would get in right away. From the time we got there to leaving the hospital at 12 am it was 2 1/2 hours. I had to register her, sign her in, got her measurements (she is 20 lbs now) and taken to the back to have to doctor look at her was all in that time. Madison, is fine and she was fine 5 mins after the fall. They said just to watch her and since I knew of what all to look for she should just go home. So, after all of that and my horrible, I mean horrible headache we went home. I felt so horrible that I caused this to happen and I have learned my lesson: Stand behind Madison, or at least to the side of her, so if she were to fall back of forward I could catch her.
Danny has finally finished school and got a A in English and B in Anatomy. Great Job Babe! :)

This past Monday we had jury duty and that was horrible. We not only had to stay all day Monday, but return Tuesday. Danny got off because someone had to watch Madison and since he never really has seen her because of school I let me go. Then, as they were going through the juror's the power went out and we had to take a 2 hr lunch. Then, after lunch I got call up and was interrogated for 20 mins from the defendant lawyer and the judge. They and I were not understanding how I felt and I was not really understanding their point of view I guess and the judge just dismissed me. It was a criminal case which involved a hit and run. All of the arguments went like this: I said the guy was guilty because if he wasn't then we would not be here and the judge states he is innocent until proven otherwise and I stated yes that is true, but right now I feel he is guilty and the facts would have to prove otherwise. And with the judge and the lawyer asking questions the judge just had enough and let me go.

I work this week and next week and then I am off until July 10th and I cannot wait. So much is going on with the wedding that I am in, Madison's 1st b-day party and stoller strides I am very busy.

Happy 10 month B-day Madison and Happy Mother's Day

First, Madison is 10 months old today can you believe it? She has been growing up so much and so fast. Well, I do have to say that the charming Madison days are over and we are definitely in the terror stage. Do not get me wrong she is still a really good girl, but she has got an attitude. She throws tantrums, screams when she does not get her way, tries to bit you and/or kick you. Yes, this is what she is doing and it is funny but sucks at the same time. All of us just look at her and let her do her thing and she gets over it.
She has been crawling on her stomach with her toes. Her abdomen is not off the floor, but she does crawl. She has 2 top teeth that have broken through the gums and are visible, but not fully come down yet.

The other night she was getting so cranky that I had thought her teeth were bothering her, so after I fed her the dinner I went into the bedroom to change her diaper and put her pj's on her. So, before changing her I wanted to give her some Tylenol. So, I put some at the side of her mouth and she took it but coughed a little and then all of a sudden she throw up lying on her back. I instantly threw her on her side and picked her up and she threw up again and really started crying. She had throw-up on her and me, but it was okay. I felt so bad that I had done this too her and all I wanted was to help her with some relief. Then, we had to give her a bath because of all the throw-up and she loved the bath and was happy again. So, before feeding her a bottle I put a drop of Tylenol in the nipple of the bottle so when she drank the bottle she would get some Tylenol without difficulty. I felt horrible that night!

Stroller Strides is going well and I have taught a couple of classes. I actually am opening up the East side of Bakersfield Stroller Strides class which will be my location. So, I have to start doing some promoting and get some more mommies on that side of town. And I have met such great mommies.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone. Well, I got my Mother's Day gift early and I was not expecting this one at all and I even did not want it at all but I got it anyways. So, you are wondering what I got...... A TICKET!!!! Yes, I got a ticket for talking on my phone, boy this sucks. I really did not want it but the officer gave it too me anyways. So, Happy Mother's Day to me.
Danny has his last finally this Monday night and is ready for a break. He has been working 12 hour shifts since 2 weeks ago because of this Swine Flu. The facility is worried and they want him there to help with the employee's and he has actually been really busy everyday for 12 hours straight. So he has been really busy and a break from school is much needed.

Happy Mother's Day Everyone and Happy 10 month B-day Madison Kathleen!!! :)

Madison's 9 month Appointment

So, Madison had her 9 month appointment last week. She is almost 19lbs, off the charts with her length and measuring great. She did not have any shots this time but will get more on her 12month check up. Gosh, 12 month check up in 3 months I can not believe it. Anyways, the doc said that when she is 22lbs AND a year old she can sit face forward in the back seat. She is doing everything is is supposed to be doing with her grips, sitting up etc. So developmentally she is on target. She is still below weight, but he said she is catching up since she had jump a line from the last visit. He did not some worried and he just said keep up with what you are doing.

It has been very hard lately feeding her the oatmeal and/or rice cereal. For some reason we can get her to eat a good couple bits, but then she does not want anymore to do with the food. So, us who are feeding her have to keep trying until she finishes. It can take almost an hour to feed her the food, but she does finish it. I think she does not like to be at one place for a very long time and goes crazy. But, we just tell her "we are not leaving until you finish" and she does finish.

Danny is almost done with his school. He got a 86% on his last test in Anatomy which is great and English he is done with his paper. So, 2 more weeks left, Hooray!!!!

Madison Goes Out of State/New Pictures of Mady

So, Madison has officially been out of CA. My parents and us went to Arizona this passed Thurs-Sat to really see the campus and meet with one of the adviser's for Arizona nursing school. Also, we finally had a chance to look at the homes my parents had purchased back in the days. The houses were great and the town seems to be really quiet. Their house is really nice and small just what my mom wanted since it will really be them too. The house (if Danny gets accepted) is a 3 bedroom and two bath house with a nice open kitchen and laundry room in the house (which I love). They were really nice homes.
So, Thursday we left at 6pm after Danny got off work and we headed for AZ. We arrived in some truck stop to get some rest before hitting the road again on Friday. We finally got to bed around 1 am and headed out at 530am. Danny got to finally really drive the RV which he loved and he thinks he is ready to take it out on his own, but we will see about that. We finally got the AZ at about 8 or so and parked at the RV park where my parents will be staying for a couple of days. We got ready and headed out to see the two homes. Then, we finally got something to eat but not until after my parents picked up their rent a car. After lunch we headed back to the RV because Danny and I needed to start driving to go meet with the advisor. It took about 1 hour to get to the school and we got the information we needed so we have to sit down together and discuss our plans on what works best for him and us.
That night we headed out to dinner and we met up with my parents friend Linda. It was a great Dinner and we headed home because we were all really tired from the long drive. I think we all finally went to bed about 10 or 1030 on Friday.
Today, Danny, Mady, and I headed home. It was going to be an 8 hr drive and we had a long road ahead of us. We finally got on the road about 930 and arrived home at about 545. We hit snow, rain and really bad winds. We stopped maybe 3 times in total which included filling up with gas, eating, and switching drivers. I have to say we REALLY HAVE A GREAT DAUGHTER!!!! She did amazing. She never got cranky and actually slept 3 times. We were able to feed her food and of course bottles in between. Danny got to take a nap with Mady one of the times and as for me I had to sleep while she was awake playing with her toys. She did a great job!!!! :). It was a long drive, but we finally made it home safe.
Madison is now 9 months old and still no crawling, but she is walking in her walker all the time and loves it. Since my parents are gone Danny's mom is coming up tomorrow (Easter) and staying the whole week. I work Sun-Wed and head out for training for Stroller Strides on Fri morning (April 17). I return Sunday (April 19th) night and that Sunday (April 19th) Danny's mom will be taking off to go to Vegas with his dad and Hector. She will then return from Vegas on Wed (April 22nd) and I work the Thur-Sat. She will watch Mady for two days and then head back home on Sat morning. Danny has posted pictures on our Web Albums, so please take a look how big our daughter is getting.
Have a great Easter everyone!

Whats New....

Well, I know it has been a long time since I have written anything in my blog so just to worn you this blog could be long.

Madison is already 8 months already, can you believe it? Well, I sure can not. She is still not crawling, but she does push herself back on the floors. She does roll over from her stomach to her back and back to stomach just fine. She does walk when I hold her hands (and she does really well). Mark my words the girl is going to walk before she crawls. She is still sleeping really good, but the time change has messed her up just a little, but we are working at getting her back on schedule. Eating, she is still not eating enough formula, but she does eat her oatmeal, baby veggies really good. We have our next doctor's appointment in April so it will be interesting to see what her weight will be. The girl is growing so much that nothing in the 9months really fits her. She is so long that the pants look like capres. I put 12 month clothes on her and they fit great in the length but not is the waist. I have cleaned out all her clothes from when she was born. I just can not wait for summer because I have such cute outfits for her to wear. Also, I emptied out her stuff because there will be a function which is called "little feet replay" in April. And they carry gently used clothes from all ages, toys, shoes etc. So I need to prepare what I need to get her this year (especailly winter clothes).

Work is going well. I applied for an RN analysis position which would be for the ER and just weekends, but of course like the other position I did not get it. I guess God has other plans for me and it is definate that I will be going to nights Fri, Sat and Sun. The weekend because Danny will be home and because his schedule with work and school has all different times. It will be hard on Friday and Monday but it will work out just fine.

Danny is doing great in school. He just recently did a 6 page paper in English and got a 99%. Go Babe! :). He is tired like me, but is doing great. I think he only has like 7 weeks left of school and boy is he looking forward to that.

Come the first week of April all of us including my parents will be going to Arizona. We are going to take a look at the nursing school and the hospitals in that area. We will be taking the motor home up there and Danny and I will be driving back that Sat or Sun. Danny will be on his spring break so it works out well.

The best news that I can report on is that Danny and I are now new home owners. We have offically bought the house we are in now. So, if we do end up going to Arizona or having to move somewhere else we can rent this house out. I am scared, but also excited. We are in the process of getting estimates on replacing our windows which they need to be done really bad before the hot summer arrives. HORRAY FOR US!!! :)

I plan on taking the whole month of June off for the rest of my baby bonding. And Danny is planning of taking 2 weeks off and then another 2 weeks at a different time. His facility where he works does not want him to be gone for a whole month, so Danny has worked it out that he would take 2 weeks off at a time. Maybe we will make a trip to Colorado........

We will take more pictures of her and post them soon.

We Have Teeth

As the title states Madison has her two bottom teeth. I noticed it one day after work. It was great because she had never really been that fussy except for during the day. Not once waking up crying, temps or really bad fussiness. Boy, am I blessed for having my first child. Like everyone tells me the second is going to be the hardest so we will see when that time comes.

Danny has started back at school and is going strong. He has his first test for Anatomy this week and a paper due for English. He is smart so I know he will be fine and do great. I try to help him when I can either when Mady is sleep, him feeding her or when she is playing with her toys.

I worked 6 days last week which was horrible, but I luckly have 8 days off. I asked for and LOA (leave of absents) on Tuesday since we were over staffed. They called me that Tuesday morning and said I would be on standby for 6 hours. So, on Monday another RN wanted to take that Tuesday off too for a doc appt, but I had already requested first. I thought maybe I would not be called in so I called 1/2 hour before my 6 hours were up and then 10 min later I get called into work. Come to find out the RN who also wanted that day off said "my husband is sick" oh what a predicament, so I had to come in at 1pm to take her team. I was PISSED! Oh well at least I got time and half for coming in.

So my parent's have told us they will be taking off in July right after Mady's 1st b-day. We have not yet found any daycare that will take kids part-time or casual, so this means I will have to go back to working nights. I have already disscussed this with my manager and have given her a heads up. I would transition now, but I have a wedding I will be in this summer also I have bridal shower etc before the wedding. So it looks like I will have to jump into nights right away. I would love to stay at home and work part-time while Danny goes to school but right now that would not work at all. So nights here we come!

Madison is doing great and as I have mention above she has teeth. She also is claping when she hearing songs and/or when copying anyone. She still has not been crawling or holding her own bottle. I will admit she will hold her bottle when SHE wants too. Today is her 7th month b-day and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADY! Boy time is flying by so fast. And boy will my mom/dad miss her while they are gone.

No Luck

So, I justed wanted to let everyone know that I did not get the job with recovery. I always say things happen for reasons and this is one of those times. I sure hope that by the end of this year that I will be in a new department. I was thinking after Aimee's wedding and Mady's 1st b-day that maybe I should go to ICU. They always say in nursing that if you can do ICU you can do anything.
I will have to, of course, talk to the managers when that time comes. Oh well, better luck next time :(

Madison's 6 month Check-Up

Madison has come through again sort-of. So, she is still really long, the head measures normal, but she is low on the weight. She is in the 50% for her weight. The doctor was concerned, but after discussing what she eats and how much, he seemed to be okay with her weight. We are all feeding her what she wants and believe me I know when she does not want to eat because that girl will close her mouth and not open it for nothing. We have to keep trying and not over feed her because then she will throw-up and then we have to clean the mess.

Danny starts school this Tuesday so you all wish him luck (specially me)!!! It is going to be a really hard semester again, but it will be worth it in the end. This will be the last semester of going to school early in the morning and at nights. The next two classes are during the day. He will have to work with medcor and grimmway regarding school and if they do not then he will be out of work!! We will try not to have that happen though.

Danny's parent's and little brother are here now visiting for today and leaving tomorrow since it is a holiday. Madison was not very happy to see any of them :(. Boy did she cry, cry and cry!!!! She was crying so hard that I just wanted to grab her and comfort her. I did get to hold her for a minute, then Daddy wanted her. I think she was just really tired since it was 3pm and no nap yet and also she is getting towards that stage where the stranger anxiety is hitting. Speaking of the devil she just woke up. Danny finally got her to take a nap, good job daddy! :)

I have not found out about the recovery position, but I am going to call this week to see what they have decided to do. I do not know if I mentioned that I had an interview with recovery about 1 week ago, but there was another person also applying as well, so they say. So we will was happens this week when I call.

I am good! I am the same and nothing has changed with me. I am going to however, be an instructor for stoller strides here in Bakersfield and I am really excited about it. I think I got for training in April and it is down in San Diego. That is about it with me~

Whats New With Madison

So, I have to say that Madison has begun to do a lot more things. First, about 2 days ago I saw her roll over (from back to abdomen). She also knows her name very well when you call her. Second, she is copying me when I stick out my tongue. She is getting so big and her next appt is the 13th.

Today, I had an interview with Recovery and I think it went well. I just really need a change and am tired of bring home my anger and frustration at home. It is hard not too because you just need to vent, but I seem to do it every night. They say when you are unhappy that you need to change before it affects your patient care. I mean I would never give bad care because I think of them and care for them like if they were one of my family members. It is hard when your boss is always complaining that we, as a department, are not meeting the expectations of their "rules" and etc. Also, they have cut so much from the economy that we hardly ever have a secretary and nurses aid so as an RN you are doing everything! I am just tired and frustrurated. However, I am glad to have a job that brings home money and I am very thankful for that!

Danny starts back to school on the 20th so here we come with another long semester of long nights. I think he goes Monday-Thurs 6:45-8 am then Monday and Wednesday from 6-10pm which is on top of full time work Monday-Friday. We know we can do it because we did it last semester. Just wish him luck. After this semester he will have I think 2 or 3 classes left before he can apply.
